    Hi,

because the last E3 online update took too much time and went completely wrong (~ 5 hours lost with update and then reinstall/recovery), I decided to do from now on the updates using the manual install, a procedure which always went fine for me. But, I’m unsure about the right seps for E3.0.1.
I’ve described my actions in http://myeclipseide.com/PNphpBB2+file-viewtopic-t-4030.html, but am very unsure if this is the recommended way. Please, could someone confirm or correct my action path?

    Thanks in advance,
    Victor

I looked at your steps in the other thread and they look fine to me. The only step you missed was restarting Eclipse (after unzipping MyEclipse 3.8.2) with the -clean command line argument.

    Riyad, thanks for the confirmation.
I haven’t restarted with ‘-clean’ parameter, because Eclipse asked each time by itself to restart. Should I have chosen ‘No’ and have restarted manually with ‘-clean’ parameter?

Yea when you get a chance slap the -clean argument in there. Its different than just restarting. What it does is clean out the /configuration directory of stale information and lets Eclipse rebuild it, so you can avoid any conflicts.

Riyad, thanks for helping on this issue. I’ve restarted E with the ‘-clean’ argument. I will edit my original post and add a note about this.
