Come on guys….
Trying to do an “update” of the MyEclipse software resulted in another useless cryptic error message:
“An error occurred while unconfiguring the items to uninstall
The artifact file for org.eclipse.equinox.launcher/osgi.bundle/1.0.101.R34x_v20080819 was not found.; when resolving artifact parameter”Huh?

Who is coming up with these useless error messages at your company?!!
If you care about your customers, you need to…
1. Fix these problems in the software so the user never sees an error message (best), or
2. Give an error message that the user can understand and take some action on without leaving an unhappy forum message like this one.

How do I get MyEclipse to do the update??!!!!!!
I’m getting quite frustrated with these senseless error messages.
Has ANYONE at MyEclipse read “About Face” (by the father of Visual Basic)?
This type of stupid (stupid because it has no value to the user and has no steps the user can take to resolve the problem) error message is discussed almost on page 1.
PLEASE REPLY ASAP.
Thanks.

To add insult to injury….
After your update program failed with the useless error message above, MyEclipse now will not (again, sigh) start.
I now get the following error when I try to start MyEclipse:
“The MyEcipse executable launcher was unable to locate its companion shared library”

Obviously, there is something seriously wrong with your update processes as you’re leaving your customers, me in particular, in the lurch after many updates.
This is ridiculous
