any ideas?
a proxy isn’t set and i don’t need any…May 20, 2007 at 12:48 pm #270400
Riyad KallaMemberNot ideas off the top of my head if you are sure you don’t need a proxy set… but it looks pretty straight forward that you are getting denied from *every* update site… it really seems to suggest some network setup on your end is not right.
You positive you don’t need a proxy?

anubisxlMemberI’m more than sure, it’s my home network…
Maybe my router closed the update port, but people told me its port 80, so it must be open. Is there another port i’ve to open???May 20, 2007 at 8:29 pm #270416
Riyad KallaMemberCan you try and disable your firewall completely just temporarily, run the update manager and suddenly see if everything is working? Atleast that would give you a starting point for troubleshooting.

Riyad KallaMemberHmm… very strange. I’m not sure what to tell you, but the fact that *every* update site fails for you, regardless of host suggests to me that the issue is on your network in some manner and without knowing how you have your network setup it’s hard to suggest things.
One thing you might try is hook your computer directly to your cable or DSL modem and see if that unblocks the update sites.
