Just installed MyEclipse 5.1.1 using the installer with Eclipse bundled in. The JSP’s in my current web project now have most lines underlined with yellow indicating a validation problems of some sort. They start with:

    “Unknown tag (HTML)”

…and it goes on from there!!!

I thought it might be the usual Eclipse thing where it’s a bit slow to pick up changes and so altering the file slightly and then saving makes Eclipse realise is OK after all….but no. No matter what I did, everything stayed highlighted yellow.

I have reverted back to 5.1.0 and all is well again.

    Anyone else had this issue?

We haven’t seen this before but I’d love to figure out what’s going on. When you ran the installer for 5.1.1, did you simply install in a completely new location (not in your 5.1.0 install) and open your workspace? Did you try cleaning the selected project (Project menu) to force it to recompile and did that correct the issue? Did you try restarting the new installation with the -clean flag by altering the shortcut used to include the flag like: eclipse.exe -clean …rest of args…
and did that have any effect? Can you install 5.1.1, create a new workspace, import the problematic project and reproduce the issue? Can you provide a small example project that exhibits the behavior?

Any help you can provide to help us figure out the cause would be fantastic.
