The “ICEfaces 1.8.2 integration for MyEclipse v7.5” support has been updated and available from icefaces.org, but I don’t see any way to remove ME 7.5 current ICEFaces support in order to install the latest.

Any documentation or suggestions on how to do this?

    ernestz,
First you need to download MyEclipse-IDE-v7.5-ICEfaces-v1.8.2.zip from the following link http://www.icefaces.org/main/downloads/os-downloads.iface?category=Stable%20Releases,MyEclipse and then extract it to a folder.

You can update MyEclipse7.5 with ICEFACES 1.8.2 in two ways.

    Option 1:

    1) Open MyEclipse IDE.
    2) Go to Help>Software Updates>Add/Remove Software…
    3) Click Add.
    4) Click Add Local and browse to refer folder extracted in step2.
    5) Expand Personal Sites to locate “ICEfaces AJAX and Java EE Tooling for MyEclipse” and then select the corresponding check box.
    6) Click Next
    7) In next window select Apply.
    8) In next window select Update.
    9) After installation, Click Yes to apply changes

    Option 2:

    1) Drop extracted folder of MyEclipse-IDE-v7.5-ICEfaces-v1.8.2.zip file into MyEclipse Home directory/dropins(if not exist, crete it) folder.
    2) Restart MyEclipse IDE.
    3) MyEclipse will display a popup window with details regarding the plugin. Review and click on [OK]

I’ll give it a try … I was just worried about having the previous tooling package installed while trying to add an updated version. The ICEFaces forums suggested removing the ICEFaces tooling packages using an plugin uninstall available prior to the Pulse controlled MyEclipse.

I will try your suggestion and see what happens.

I went with option 1 … and all went well.

    Thanks.
