Hi,
I’d like to upgrade from 6.0.1 GA to 7.1.1, but I understand there is no automated upgrade path.Please confirm or add to these steps:
– Download eclipse-SDK-3.4.2-win32.zip from http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/download.php?file=/eclipse/downloads/drops/R-3.4.2-200902111700/eclipse-SDK-3.4.2-win32.zip
Q1. Do I need to install it in a different directory than my existing Eclipse?
Q2. How do I have ME use the new installation of Eclipse?– Use the update manager in ME to point to http://downloads.myeclipseide.com/downloads/products/eworkbench/7.0/updates/

ME 6.x, it is based on Eclipse 3.3 and ME7.1.1 is based on Eclipse 3.4.1. The best would be to download the all-in-one installer from the site. Ensure that the file size and md5sum matches that of the download.
It is better if you can install it in a separate directory than your old ME 6.x
If you wish to use Eclipse to install ME7.1.1, then download Eclipse 3.4.1 classic and use the update site.Best.
