How can I upgrade to MyEclipse 4.0. Is there an update site?
Does MyEclipse 4.0 work with Eclipse 3.0.2?There is an update site, but you can only update from one of the previous milestone builds because MyEclipse 4.0 only works with the final release of Eclipse 3.1.
Do I need to uninstall MyEclipse 3.8.4 before installing MyEclipse 4.0?
You should download and install Eclipse 3.1 in a separate location from your Eclipse 3.0.2 install. Then, install MyEclipse 4.0 on top of it. Test the install and see if it looks OK. Then, you can either open your existing workspace with the new build, or make a copy of the workspace and open that with the new build (safest). This way, you can try out all the new features to be sure they’re all working for you while keeping your current working installation in case you run into any issues.
