I am moving my development work from a desktop to a laptop with more memory and faster cpu. Can I simply copy myEclipse to the laptop or do I have to download again and get a new key? Please advise.

The subscription is assigned to you as a developer, not the computer. So you can reinstall MyEclipse on your laptop.

Can *can* copy it across, but if you haven’t upgrade to MyEclipse 5.1 already, now might be a great time to try out our new All-In-One installer for Windows on the laptop 🙂
