This just started. Using MEB 2016 Stable 1. On startup the credentials input box is not responding and the system hangs at that point.

The process it’s hanging on is “Obtain MyEclipse RSS”

Sorry you’re seeing this issue. We’ve done some checking on the RSS feed for the welcome page. We can’t see a problem with it now, though it’s just possible that some other changes we made might have temporarily affected this, so this should not be happening now. If it is, please let us know and please include a screenshot to help us investigate.

A possible workaround is to look for the following file under your workspace folder: .metadata/.plugins/org.eclipse.core.runtime/.settings/com.genuitec.eclipse.dashboard.prefs
Edit the file and add the following line:
com.genuitec.eclipse.dashboard.uidashboard.startup=false
Then restart MyEclipse.
