    Hello!

I am new to MyEclipse. I started out developing a web project (Tomcat based) on eclipse, and came across myEclipse while looking for available productivity boosters. So Ive downloaded, and am currently evaluating.

I develop the same project on different sites (office, home, travelling), and need to have my IDE installed on all corresponding work stations. While working with eclipse, I found out its a good idea, while saving, to export the project to a .war archive on some file server, and then importing it next time when proceeding development on either site.

This way of working seems not to be supported by MyEclipse. I have tried to export to a tar archive, but myEclipse wont let me simply load the project. When I import the tar into a fake project that I am forced to create just for importing, the files form a wrong hierarchy. (I also found out that this is quite heavy. Try and fail take a lot of time).

Could anybody propose a more appropriate way to accomplish what I want?

And, btw: can I have myEclipse installed on three places under a single licence? (Its always only one instance at the time that runs).

    Thanks

    Michael

    Hi michaelprem,

The best way for your purpose is to use Pulse. The website is http://www.poweredbypulse.com.

You can have same IDE and workspace on any number of places. For this you can sync your workspace using an account in pulse. For further information, go through the link : http://www.poweredbypulse.com/why.php

If you use one instance at the time, you can use single subscription account in multiple places. For further information on subscription, email to subscriptions@genuitec.com. You can also go through the link for more information : https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/null/
