We are using Myeclipse 5.1 with facelets 1.1.11 for development of web pages. These are .xhtml files. When editing these files the design view only presents the HTML drag and drop tool palette . We would like to be able to also use the JSF palette just as if they were .jsp files.

I have tried all the normal stuff I can think of – ie associating certain file editors to the XHTML etc eg jsp visual design editor. But when I open the files, the JSF palette is still not there.

    Please advise.

    Thanks

PS – when will facelets be supported by MyEclipse- isnt it time ?

Currently MyEclipse doesn’t support Facelet development at this time. We are working on better XHTML support in the Visual Designer for our next release as that is a requirement for any facelets support.

Thank you for your prompt reply- much appreciated.

Can you please give indicative timeframes of when the version with improved xhtml is due to be released ?
Alos, please advise what are the current plans for support of facelets – I believe Exadel allready has good support ?

All we can commit to just yet is very early in 2007. We don’t quite yet know how early, as the scope of the next version is still in quite a bit of flux. We appreciate your patience as we continue to work on our next version.
