Did a complete uninstall/reinstall of eclipse 3.0.2 & ME3.8.4 + QF2 due to very long debugging time – see previous post below!

Had some real annoying errors appear in the “problems” window for JSP (included) files! so by turning off JSP Validation at the project level this fixed it until I exit eclipse & reload – they’re back!

Seen other posts regarding this issue but supposed to have been fixed – is this bug outstanding or is there something else I should do?

    regards

    Harry,
We are sorry to hear you are having these problems, they certainly sound frustrating and hope our 4.0 release on the 3.1 platform will proove to be more stable.

In the mean time, start up MyEclipse, let the errors popup, then right click on your project, go down to MyEclipse and select “Remove Problem Markers”, then restart… are they gone?

yes they do go when I select “remove all validation markers” – just really annoying because there seems nothing I can do to prevent the jsp pages from being compiled on a rebuild?

    Harry,

If you want to turn of JSP validation completely you can do that at the project or workspace level. For the workspace you can use Window > Preferences > MyEclipse > Validation. On the project you can right-click on it and select Properties > MyEclipse-Validation.

However, we don’t know of any instances where includes confuse the validation so if you can create a simple project that shows the errors your describing and send it to us as a zip file we can investigate further and either come back with a configuration fix or post a bug report to get the issue resolved. Any help in isolating an problem is always appreciated. If you send us an exemplary project, please address it to support@genuitec.com and remember to include the full URL for this thread so we can relate the example to the problem description.
