Hi Everyone

I’ve got an app which i want to incorporate a video player. I’ve had quick test with the video widget and i have got my video running great, but on completion of the video the screen just goes black on IPAD and i can’t navigate anywhere. I have to then force shutdown of the app.

Is there a way around this or has anyone used another method of displaying video for a native IOS app

I’m running IOS 6.1.3 on a IPAD mini. And i am running 2.3.2 hotfix 1 with on a windows 7 machine. As i said the video works fine but when it finishes the video controls disappear and you left with no way of going back as there is no done button.

Silly question, Paul. Have you tried tapping the screen to induce the ‘Done’ button to appear?

Hi Stu, its never a silly question with me! But yes i’ve tried tapping and nothing happens.

Just for information i’ve tried it on a IPAD 2 also running 6.1.3 tonight and its the same. All the video controls are there with the done button until video finishes and screen goes black with no controls and you need to reset the app.

I’ve sent you a little test project with one of the video’s. There is definitely something a little squiffy with the widget as i’ve tried numerous video files and some do have the done button at the end of the video but none of the controls work, so you still have to hard set the app.

I’ve done a little vid to show the problem (i’ve left it unlisted so only guys with a link can see) I’ll take it down once you’ve seen it.
