I am using MyEclipse 5.5M2

The JSP editor is way too buggy. Completely useless. It constantly keeps me notifying about a “Update dirty rect error”, when not NullPointerExceptions.

And now, I realized it changed all my expression statements (<%=…%>) with a

. I lost about 2 hours of work.

I will have to edit it with notepad.

Hope that it gets fixed very soon.

    Cheers,
    Dario Andrade

    Dario,
It sounds like your install is corrupt… there is no way that the editor could be *that* buggy and none of us would have noticed it… we would be strangling each other internally if it were that bad.

Do me a favor and wait until late Monday when we release 5.5 GA. Then download the 5.5 “All In One” installer, and install it to a brand new directory, then open your existing workspace and see how everything performs.
