Thanks for the reply. This unfortunately doesn’t help me though as I would like to completely get rid of RAD and only use MyEclise Blue. Sounds like this isn’t an option right now though. Why is there no “developer” version of WebSphere? And yes, I know I’m asking that question in the wrong forum, ha!

Your asking the right questions. All I can say right now is that the management team is pursuing options that could address your problem. We are sensitive to the hassles that come with trying to download/install/update websphere. I can’t commit to anything right now but we are working on this problem. Stay tuned!

    try this:

IBM WebSphere Application Server for Developers – license

    License + 1 Year Software Maintenance – 1 user – Passport – level E – 3.33 points

    MFG#: D51JXLL-E

    CDW SKU# 1141271

    $643.06

depending on your IBM relationship, you might get it for less direct from IBM

Also, if you happen to be an IBM Business Partner, you can use WAS for development purposes only for no license cost. If you’re not a biz partner, then you can get the developer only license.
