I am unable to launch the Web Services Explorer. (this used to work). There are no errors being thrown into the .log file. The resulting page that comes up is at this URL: http://localhost:0/wsexplorer/wsexplorer.jsp?org.eclipse.wst.ws.explorer=0

And port zero (port 0) is obviously not going to result in much.

How do I fix this *without* uninstalling and reinstalling (since that is a time consuming way to fix things and this isn’t the first time this has happened).

Can you switch to a new workspace and try launching the Web Service Explorer again. Does it work ?

Nope. Switched to totally blank workspace (c:\workspaceBLANK did not exist) and the “Launch Web Services Explorer” still is trying to load the page: http://localhost:0/wsexplorer/wsexplorer.jsp?org.eclipse.wst.ws.explorer=0 Same result if I quit MyEclipse, delete workspaceBLANK directory, and restart MyEclipse.

Sounds like an installation issue to me. Can you download the MyEclipse pulse launcher from our download page and use that to launch MyEclipse. Are you able to launch the Web Service Explorer now ?

    http://www.poweredbypulse.com/
    found it
took hour for it to run, WS explorer runs again. Hopefully when it breaks again, the pulse downloader will not need to redownload everything and it will be a quick fix.

FYI – The optimized pulse downloader is available on the MyEclipse download page as well.
