When trying to run the Web Simulator I get “currently only chrome and chromium based browsers are supported by the mobione mobile web simulator”. I have the latest version of Google Chrome (34.0.1847.131 m) and my version of MobiOne is 2.6.2 (20140319).

I have gone into the settings and tried the “Reset Simulator Settings”, but to no avail.

Unless I can get this resolved, the application will not be useful for me.

    Thanks

    Hi wjtaylor,

Did you stopped the simulator, then used the reset action in the simulator settings? If yes then try this: Ensure the simulator is stopped and then manually delete the simulator’s profile directory if it exists:

    1) shut down mobione
    2) open file explorer and nav to <userhomedir>/AppData/Local/Temp
    3) delete the directory named: mobione_mobilewebsimulator_userdata
    4) restart mobione and launch the simulator: Tools menu> Open Mobile Web Simulator

    I tried as you suggested.

    1. I closed down MobiOne
    2. I deleted the mobione_mobilewebsimulator_userdata folder
    3. I started MobiOne
    4. I launched “Open Mobile Web Simulator” from the Tools menu
    5. I get the message “Unsupported Browser, Currently only Chrome and Chromium based browers are supported …”

I am running Windows Vista on this particular computer. Does that matter?

I think I may have found the issue. I found another version of a different virus protection software active that I did not know was running.

    Thanks,

    Jay

Guys, just read this post and was going to suggest looking at your anti-virus software.
Also & thanks to the awesome guys at M1 and by simply making M1 open as admin all problems have now disappeared!
    Hope this helps
