Riyad KallaMemberCan you please post all the information we request in the Posting Guidelines thread at the top of this forum? That will give us some context so that we can determine if this is an installation issue, a configuration problem, or a bug. Thanks.

narisiMemberWhat operating system and version are you running?
XP Ver2002 SP1What Eclipse version and build id are you using? (Help > About Eclipse Platform)
Version: 3.0.2
Build id: 200503110845– Was Eclipse freshly installed for MyEclipse?
Yes– If not, was it upgraded to its current version using the update manager?
– Are any other external plugins installed?
No– How many plugins in the <eclipse>/plugins directory are like org.eclipse.pde.*
84What MyEclipse version are you using? (Help > About Eclipse Platform > Features)
Version 3.8. 4+QF2 Build Id:200502031200-3.8.4+FQ2What JDK version are you using to run Eclipse? (java -version)
j2sdk1.4.2_08What JDK version are you using to launch your application server?
jdk1.3What steps did you take that resulted in the issue?
After setting up the app server, I have configured the Weblogic 6.1 in MyEclipse preferences. Then on running the server it throws the alert “java.lang.Exception: Problem with X509 certificate: fingerprint = ”What application server are you using?
Weblogic 6.1Are there any exceptions in the Eclipse log file? (<workspace>/.metadata/.log)

Scott AndersonParticipantCan you compare your configuration with the one shown here:
http://www.myeclipseide.com/FAQ+index-myfaq-yes-id_cat-16.htmlFor 6.1, you may also have to set the JAAS security setting as well.
You might also consider using JDK 1.3.1 at the minimum since it’s required by BEA, here:
http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/certifications/certs_610/winXP.html#sp7Also, I don’t believe a standard startup uses X509 certs. Are you trying to run with https or something?

Hi scott,
Yes it is true that we are using https SSL services. I can ignore it for now as we are not returning any secure url in our classes. Now the problem continues with Weblogic startup.
I confirm to http://www.myeclipseide.com/FAQ+index-myfaq-yes-id_cat-16.html.
I have an app xxx running well on localhost:7001 on weblogic 6.1. But on startup in eclipse IDE the server throws the following exception:
<Jun 27, 2005 11:32:11 AM CDT> <Error> <JMS> <Failed to deploy JMS Server “xxxJMSServer” due to weblogic.jms.common.JMSException: Error initializing JMSServer xxxJMSServer.
weblogic.jms.common.JMSException: Error initializing JMSServer xxxJMSServerHow do I resolve it? thanks in advance.

Scott AndersonParticipantAre you using a database to set up your JMS server? Did you add the driver to the server classpath? Did you start the database prior to launching the weblogic instance with the connector?

narisiMemberYes I am using Oracle Pool to connect to JMSServer.
The same Weblogic 6.1 starts well with startWeblogic.cmd script from command line and brings up our app. But before this I am setting env vars with a local script setEnv.cmd. The same server doesn’t come up in MyEclipseIDE.Thanks for prompt response Scott.

Scott AndersonParticipantThe same Weblogic 6.1 starts well with startWeblogic.cmd script from command line
Our weblogic connector is configured to start up an “out of the box” weblogic configuration. If you’ve added more capabilities to your weblogic install, like JMS, database connectivity etc. you’ll need to see what additional jars are being added (other than weblogic.jar and weblogic_sp.jar) to the classpath in the startWeblogic.cmd script and append those jars to the classpath. Additionally, Oracle drivers typicall have a binary component so you’ll need to add the directory containing the Oracle driver dll to the Java library path on the Paths page of the connector. I don’t have a WLS 6.1 install, but in 7.0 the directory is under bin/oci817_8, or something similar, depending on what version of driver you want. That’s really important or your Oracle driver, and therefore your JMS queue, won’t work.

narisiMemberHurray! Hey Scott!!
You are perfectly correct. It works now.
Initially I prepended the jars to the class path. Now I appended all jars from weblogic lib. Then I added oracle dll path to libray path. I have oracle client installed in my system. Hence my folder for the dll is c:\Oracle\Ora9024\bin
Thank you
It is great

Scott AndersonParticipantGlad to hear it was the driver. That trips up a lot of people.
