Internally we are working at evaluating MyEclipse and one thing that has come up is Weblogic’s Portal IDE (workshop) is based on Eclipse. Using this tool makes weblogic portals easy, until you try to create a JSF portlet. MyEclipse has great JSF tooling however, it wont eun on the same Eclipse instance as weblogic workshop because both workshop and MyEclipse include a version of the Java EMF model but at different versions, this conflict makes it so that my eclipse wont run if you load it in to the Workshop Eclipse instance. Interestingly this is better then Bea Weblogic Studio where if you attempt to integrate it with Bea workshop (both on eclipse) it throws massive amounts of errors and does not work either.

Anybody using Weblic Portal 9.2? Are you using Workshop as an IDE? With MyEclipse?

    Thanks,
    Keith

    Keith,
Portlet support is something we are looking at adding in 5.5, so you may be in a better position going forward to get the best of all worlds with MYEclipse.
