    Hi MyEclipse Support Team,
We are using websphere application server 6.1 with MyEclipse.
We have got limited licenses of websphere v6.1.
Can you please let us know demerits of using websphere on one remote machine in LAN
and Myeclipse on individual developer’s desktop?
We areplanning to create separate profile for each developer on the application server. Than we will configure it remotely using MyEclipse.
We are using JDB 1.5 and EJB also.

    Anticipating an early response.
    Thanks,
    Pranav Sharma

The built-in server connectors are intended for launching a local instance of a server for debugging. However, we do have support for debugging remote application servers and a tutorial on how to do that is located in the Documentation section here – http://www.myeclipseide.com/documentation/quickstarts/remotedebugging/

    Pranav,

In theory your setup idea is fine, but Joy is correct, our connectors are architecture to handle starting/stopping local installs of application servers. So you would need to use the remote debugging information provided above.
