What version of MyEclipse should go with Eclipse3.1M5a

    My OS: Mandrake 10.1
    My Eclipse version: Eclipse3.1M5a

    I first try with Eclipse 3.1 M6 but some functionnality didnt work
    (can create J2EE Web project)

    I uninstall Eclipse 3.1 M6 and try with Eclipse 3.1 M4 but I can’t
    have java code completion with JSP ( In the Web development tutorial )

    If you can help me

    Please try M6 and the latest beta again because that is a tested, working configuration. I have a feeling you had a problem with your installation, but we likely could’ve diagnosed it to get it working. If you’d like to wait a day or so, we’ll have a build for 3.1M7 posted soon.

    Yes you’re right. I had that message at the end of the log installation file for both M4 and M6 installation:

    Install Action: RPMSpecFile
    Status: ERROR
    Additional Notes: ERROR – There was a problem creating the RPM package. You may not be running as root or may not have installed RPM Builder correctly.
    ERROR – java.lang.NullPointerException

    Inportant: I have rpmbuild install on my machine.

    If that’s the case, I’d suggest using the manual installation archive to get away from any RPM problems. The instructions are available here:

    The manual installation archive is available in the download section where you found the Linux build.
