Could the dependency for myeclipse be relaxed to be eclipse >M7? I’m keeping up with the integration builds and am unable to run myeclipse. I think that post M7 there no more significant breaking changes according to the roadmap.

    tangan,
If you want to try and get MyEclipse working with the integration builds, you are more than welcome to try. Just use the manual install.

I had no problem installing myeclipse. The problem was when I tried to open a jsp page and I got an error. Looking at the log, the exception referred to the fact that the eclipse version was incorrect. Can anything be done about this?

Found the manual install. How does installing this way change the dependency check that some of the components (e.g. JSP editor) do?

It doesn’t, I wasn’t aware of any of the modules doing independant dependency checks. With our previous release (3.7RC2) people were able to get it working when M7 came out, so I assumed the same could be done for the GA release.

Since this is not a supported setup, I can’t (lack of knowledge) offer more assistence in this arena.
