I have just installed myEclipse on XP and entered Eclipse for the first time. I have the “-vm” switch pointing to “C:\apps\j2sdk1.4.2_05”, the “\bin” directory in the path and JAVA_HOME set correctly.

When I enter Window :: Preferences :: MyEclipse, the Application servers and Editors options just show text, I can’t change anything. And when I enter into Subscription, a message appears, “The currently displayed page containts invalid values” and the “Subscriber” and “Subscription code” text boxes show up … strangely, quite small. I have tried entering my subscription info but it changes nothing.

In my \workspace\.metadata\.log file I get the following error:

!MESSAGE Problems occurred when invoking code from plug-in: “org.eclipse.core.runtime”.
    !STACK 0
    com.genuitec.eclipse.core.T: Invalid Eclipse Base Version.

Anyone ever see this before? The error only pops up when I click on the “Subscription” option. This is a clean install of both Eclipse and MyEclipse.

    Thanks a mil,
    syg

    com.genuitec.eclipse.core.T: Invalid Eclipse Base Version.

What versions of Eclipse and MyEclipse are you attempting to use together? Help > About menu will show you Eclipse and Window > Preferences > MyEclipse will show you MyEclipse.

    MyEclipse 3.x *requires* Eclipse 3.0

Hello, and thanks for the response. I am using Eclipse 3.0.0, and myEclipse 3.7.2. I believe it’s the exact same configuration I use at work, with no problems. But I can’t get it to work here at home!

    I don’t get it …

MyEclipse 3.7.2 requires one of the Eclipse 3.0 M-builds to run (I believe M6 or 7), you will need to upgrade to AT LEAST MyEclipse 3.8.2, but we *highly* suggest using 3.8.2 + the latest quickfix here: http://www.myeclipseide.com/PNphpBB2+file-viewtopic-t-4498.html
