I have some report data I’m pulling from an XML source and I want to be able to wrap my extracted text and align this left within a data box, however when aligning left if the character is a white space it aligns on this so the alignment looks dodgy, also sometimes full stops or commas are wrapped onto a new line, again looks dodgy in a report.
Is there any way to align left ignoring whites paces and also not have full stops etc wrap around.

Can you upload a screenshot of the issue that you are facing? You can hit the Post Reply button at the bottom of this page and upload the image.Also, can you go to MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details and paste the information here for me so that I can get this tested on the same environment.
hmmm doesn’t appear to be any place to upload the images when I hit the reply. Are uploads enabled for this forum?

Thank you for sending us the screen shot. I looked into it this issue and I don’t see a way to align left while ignoring white spaces. I’m sorry but I filed it as an enhancement for the MyEclipse Reports team.Ok Thanks, I haven’t tried 7.0 as yet, but I guess the problem will still be there, anyway just D/L the installer now.
What do other users do for their reports that requires data to be wrapped and aligned left?

MyEclipse 7.0 GA integrated the latest version of BIRT so I guess that fixed the issue.
@Stephen – were you able to get this to work with 7.0 GA?I installed 7.0GA of MyEclipse, opened my existing project, when I ran my report from the console it asked me to save the report file to the new format, I accepted and and it worked, nothing out of the ordinary. I guess it is the new version of BIRT that fixed the issue. All seems to be working as it should as far as wrapping and text alignment go, no hanging spaces, commas etc.
