    hi,
i’m writing bmp entity beans and want to generate value objects for them using xdoclet @ejb.value-object tag. after reading all available online documentation on @ejb.value-object (didn’t take long) i realized it should be possible to genrate a full VO for a bean just by specifying @ejb.value-object match = “*” on the class level.
but the generated value object is not raelly valuable for me. it generates no getters and setters for all attributes (as specified by the ‘*’).

similar happens when i use a named light value-object and manually specify which properties should be included.

does someone know what am i doing wrong? is this rather a question for xdoclet support (i didn’t try run the xdoclet outside of myeclipse)?

    thanx a lot

Please do post a followup if you figure out what fixed it. I’m sure it will be of interest to others.

    hi
    i found the reason…

generating of value objects isn’t working when i want to generate a value object with getters and setters for all properties by specifying @ejb.value-object match = “*”

but it works when i configure an aditional value object for the same bean and mark some methods with the tag @ejb.value-object match = “light”

when i just declare the light value object and don’t specify any methods to be included it doesn’t work.

i think this is rather an xdoclet bug. i will post it on their page.
this problem occures in xdoclet 1.2 and 1.2.1

    Hi freek,

Do you mean to say that you have been able to generate getters/setters for cmr fields also?
What i am doing is specify a value object with match=”*”. It generates a vo for all persistent fields but no cmr fields.

Do you know how to include them?

    TIA
