I am trying to generate all the deployment descriptors for two projects (EJB and Web) In the pass, this has not been a problem. However, now I get a

    java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Accept timed out

    when I “Run XDoclet”.

From my standpoint nothing has changed, but something is not working.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

What I have done is run the eclipse command -clean when I open MyEclipse to be sure I don’t have any cache settings. I have also removed the existing XDoclet from the project and re-created the XDoclet standard commands thinking there was some wrong internal setting, then I replace the .xdoclet file with the correct setting I used in the working projects from my other workspace. Lastly, I refreshed the workspace and re-tried to generate the deployment descriptors. I am still getting the same error.

    Suggestions?

The Dialog that appears when running “Run XDoclet” has the following message:

Could not find main class. Program will exit.

After messing with this issue for two hours, I re-created the workspace and everything is fine…. Grrrrrrr

Sounds like Eclipse couldn’t connect to the external jvm that was used to launch XDoclet. I’m as baffled as you as to why it would simply stop or for that matter start working. Glad it is working now.
