I created a java project in myeclipse
then I created a file in one of the packages; “Reg.hbm.xml”
the editor came up with instructions in the top
left corner :
“the document is empty
right click here to insert content”

I rather not/can’t work with this feature ,how do I turn it off???

I previously created a build.xml file and
that Instructional material didn’t show up

How do I turn it off???

Douglasv,
Sorry for the confusion, that’s just the default view for the XML editor. If you look at the bottom of that editor, you’ll see two tabs, one for Design view and one for source. You want the source view.
