I have XML files with .sc file name extension. I have set up content type and editor file associations so that I can edit these files using the XML Editor. What do I have to configure to enable XML file validation for these files? When I rename a .sc file to .xml, the XML file validation option is available for the .xml file.

Validation mappings occur outside of the editor association mappings, you cannot change those at this time. I will file this as an enhancement though for users having similar issues.
