I’m using Eclipse Neon and have just installed Typescript support which includes Webclipse.

I’ve found that the indenting Typescript is buggy. I use tabs for indenting and have configured Typescript editing to have a 4 character indent and a tab width of 4 characters. I’ve also disabled “replace tabs with spaces”. However, when I press enter on an indented line, the following line is indented with the same number of spaces as there were tabs in the previous line! I have to correct the indentation for every line and I’ve enabled visible whitespace to help me keep my code clean.

Please could the new line be indented in the same way as the previous line, whether they are tabs or spaces?

Thank you for your report – I agree that this is quite a frustrating bug.

We’re working on a fix for this issue right now and it will make the next CI release of Webclipse. Will post here when available.
