I am trying to install MyEclipse 2014 Pro on SUSE Linux 12.I logged in as a non root user and gave permission to the eclipse run file. But it pops up an error message saying “Installation Problem:you can try again later or click show to see a support bundle with information on ME Pro 2014”. After I click show,it displays “Due to limitations on your operating system, the file itself has not been selected”.

    Thanks,

    Eugene

    Eugene,

I see that you’ve installed MyEclipse 2014 Pro before on SUSE 12. I’ve also just tried this and don’t see an issue. Can you think of anything in your system which has changed between the last install and this attempted install? Is it the same installer, or have you downloaded a fresh copy? Please check the md5 checksum for the installer, which should be the same as shown on our download page (for the 2014 Pro installer, this is f214104dac2823bbfe75dd0d8a01ea9c).

Also, please try running the installer with the -consolelog -debug switches, that is:

    ./myeclipse-pro-2014-GA-offline-installer-linux.run -consolelog -debug

Let us know the output seen in the console.
