Loyal WaterMemberGeorg,
Did you re-run the installer? Do you get the same error message? Can you check the md5 sun of the installer you downloaded and make sure it matches the md5 sum mentioned on the download page.
The quickest workaround would be to go to http://www.poweredbypulse.com and grab the pulse launcher. After launching it, you can add the MyEclipse 8.0M1 profile to it and you should be good to go.

gsendtMemberHello Nipun,
The screenshots are from the second run of the installer and the md5 is the same http://imagebin.ca/view/LiZJQK6p.html

Ton HuismanMemberI’d guess a flaky internet connection, or a overly filled %tmp% directory (lots of old files, maybe even located in a roaming user-profile stored on a server?), or not enough free space, as almost 800 MB to 1 GB free space is required!

gsendtMemberTon,
I have a fast internet connection. Also, I do not have any problems with other eclipse distributions. The disk has 357 GB of free space currently, and I think I will get an other error if I run out of space. The user profile is not on the server, its local. What do you mean with “lots of old files?”. The temp-dir has 60 entries, I dont think this is too much.

Georg

Loyal WaterMemberGeorg,
Can you navigate to your C:\Program Files\Genuitec\Common\logs directory, and zip it up and send it to me. You can hit the pm button and send me the file.October 4, 2009 at 2:59 am #302902
pschleinMemberHi,
I tried up to 10 times to install 8.0M1 on my XP system and got the same error. Then i tried to enter the update-URL in the Browser and got an “Forbidden You don’t have permission to access /downloads/products/eworkbench/galileo/enterprise-latest/ on this server.” page.
For me it looks like a permission problem on the server.

Loyal WaterMemberPeter,
Are you working with the All in One installer as well? What OS are you working on?October 6, 2009 at 12:43 pm #303019

support-shaliniMemberFind4u,
Can you try using “pulse explorer”? You can download pulse explorer from http://www.poweredbypulse.com.
Open pulse explorer and select “Eclipse Galileo” and go to “Browse Categories” in the left pane. From the right hand pane under IDE, select ME8.1. Right click on it and select “Run”/ “Install and Run”
Let me know if this works for you.October 7, 2009 at 6:29 am #303056
Richard WestonMemberHi Shalini, Thanks Yes that worked. I did not need to download pulse as I already had it it was the switch to Galileo that made the M8 release visable. Any plans to fix the stand alone install as I would prefer that method. Thanks
Richard
