When trying to open the customize perspective dialog, either, by right clicking on the perspective icon and selecting “Customize” or by invoking the equivalent action through the menu, I get an error:

Error executing ‘org.eclipse.ui.window.customizePerspective’: java.lang.NullPointerException: Cannot invoke “String.split(String)” because “elementId” is null

I have reported the issue in the Eclipse Platform project, but I believe the problem is in DevStyle.

We had a look at the Eclipse bug, and I believe we have a fix that will make it to next DevStyle release. This should get it to work for all Eclipse versions. Thank you for the report and the details – appreciate it!
