    Before I waste my time…
Do you do anything with the debugger?
It’s not working very well and HAS been changed…
Quite often it will not highlight the line of code its supposed to be tracking.
I think they (you?) tried to improve it to handle proxies (for CDI etc.).
I can crank out a Wink video; just need to know who to sent it to…

    Tony,

There were some enhancements to the Debugger from the Eclipse side. I could not replicate the issue at my end on MyEclipse 2013 with js/jsp or class debugging.

Please share with us additional information to help us investigate further.

    1. What are you trying to debug? Java/Jsp or a JS file.
    2. Are you seeing any other issues apart from not highlighting the line of code ?
    3. Are there any errors when the said issue happens? At that instant, are there any errors logged in the log file located at workspace dir > .metadata > .log?
    4. If possible please attach a sample project which exhibits the issue and also share the steps in detail to help us replicate the issue at our end.

    Typical… It’s back working…

Good Old Windows / MyEclipse… Booted up PC when I got up, cleaned project…

    Anyhow; Here is the Jing….
    http://screencast.com/t/bR3nYQnvxg

It does show me using a very old server (JBoss 7.1.1.Final) as I wait for MyEclipse to get WildFly (JBoss 8) in the server list!

It DOES show the usual “moan” from the debugger about line numbers.

It DOES show the “server” coping with me changing code whilst the server is running; the most awseome feature of Exploded deployment (this works for JSF pages too)! SOOOO productive!

HOWEVER; It does show the server not restarting when I give it something “too hard” like changing code whilst stopped in the debugger… (to get this you can change code method signatures too).. Restart goes “nowhere”…

    Exploded deployment just ROCKS!

    Tony,

    Thank you for the screen-cast.

This is how the Eclipse java class hot-sync works. I am afraid we can do nothing about it.
Also you do not have to restart the server. If the dialog about obsolete methods appears, just let it flow and see how it works.

    Hope it helps.
