Hi,

I’m trying to deploy my application to a Tomcat 6.x server on my machine in Exploded format. I keep getting a java.lang.NullPointerException when I try to deploy to either a standalone Tomcat or the MyEclipse Tomcat.

I’m using MyEclipse 7.5, any help would be appreciated since I’m trying to debug the web application.

I’d also like to add that I’ve already tried deleting my Workspace directory and recreating the project from source control.

Can you give more information on this issue?
1. Can you copy paste your installation details? You can get them from MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details.
2. Are you able to start your tomcat manually, outside MyEclipse and deploy your application?
3. What is the project that you are trying to deploy?
4. Can you send us a screen shot of the configuration details of your tomcat?
5. Are there any errors logged in the log file located at workspace dir > .metatdata > .log?

Can you create a new Web App (by going to File > New > Other > Web Project) and try deploying it to MyEclipse tomcat. Does that work without issues?
