I am using MyEclipse 6.0.1 and the UML reverse engineer is not resolving the very composition associations it created an hour earlier when I created the Java classes from UML. Can anyone comment on configuration settings?

    Scott Stanlick,

Currently, I don’t have MyEclipse 6.0.1 installed in my system. I have gone through the release notes of 6.0.1 at – http://www.myeclipseide.com/module-htmlpages-display-pid-350.html#uml. The release notes does not mention about UML reverse engineering. I would recommend you to install MyEclipse 7.5 which has more features. You can go through the link for features available in MyEclipse 7.5 – http://www.myeclipseide.com/module-htmlpages-display-pid-1.html. It also supports UML2. To install MyEclipse 7.5, you need to download a fresh copy from – http://www.myeclipseide.com/index.php?name=Downloads&req=viewsdownload&sid=31. You cannot upgrade from MyEclipse 6.0.1 as the base eclipse has been changed from Eclipse 3.3 to Eclipse 3.4.2.

If you must use MyEclipse 6.0.1, I’ll escalate to a dev team member.

    Please let me know.

Sadly, my corporation is not quite so agile. Let me see about upgrading a personal machine and getting this task finished. So are you saying your plug-in is not backward compatible with Eclipse?

    Scott,

MyEclipse 7.5 is something like 8 releases after MyEclipse 6.0.1, the 6.x series was based on Eclipse 3.3, the 7.x series is based on Eclipse 3.4 — we build on a huge portion of Eclipse and all sub projects, so no, it’s not backward compatible. The amount of API and code changes between each Eclipse release is significant and breaks quite a bit of our product, that’s why we have to tie it against major release trains.
