I’m new to the world of Eclipse and MyEclipse (a refugee from the Windows world).

I’m looking for a Javascript IDE and understand that MyEclipse provides this functionality. Is this correct?

If I want to use MyEclipse then I need to download the VEP from the eclipse.org site first. This involves downloading two sets of runtime files followed by VEP. After I’ve installed VEP, then I can downlaod and install MyEclipse.

    Does this sound right?

    Thank you!

    Yes, you are correct.

    No, that isn’t necessary.

All you need to do is:
    1) Download and unziup Eclipse 3.0.1 SDK (~85mb) somewhere
    2) Then download the MyEclipse installer for your platform, and run it. That’s it.

    Riyad,

Thank you for your fast response!

I’m going to download the Eclipse SDK and then evaluate your MyEclipse product.
