    Environment :

    Windows XP service pack 2
    Intel core 2 Duo CPU
    E4500 @ 2.2 GHz
2.19 GHz, 3.25 GB of RAM

    MyEclipse Enterprise Workbench

    Version: 8.0
    Build id: 8.0-20091120

    MyEclipse ini file :

    -startup
    ../Common/plugins/org.eclipse.equinox.launcher_1.0.201.R35x_v20090715.jar
    –launcher.library
    ../Common/plugins/org.eclipse.equinox.launcher.win32.win32.x86_1.0.200.v20090519
    -install
    C:/Program Files/Genuitec/MyEclipse 8.x Latest
    -vm
    C:/Program Files/Genuitec/Common/binary/com.sun.java.jdk.win32.x86_1.6.0.013/jre/bin/client/jvm.dll
    -configuration
    configuration
    -vmargs
    -Xmx640m
    -XX:MaxPermSize=256m
    -XX:ReservedCodeCacheSize=64m

    Current situation

When starting a java application and attempting to clear console, the IDE is running 50% CPU busy. The memory Usage is 251,056K. The IDE freezes and the ‘window not responding’ is displayed.

The only way to get out of this situation is to kill the IDE java process.
Would appreciate any help as it get very frustating to not, by habit, clear the console. Then then requires checking the taskbar to kill the orphan java process and restart the MyEclipse IDE.

Are there any other logs that I can attach tp provide more info?

    Regards

    rremedios,
I am sorry that you are running into this issue. Can you give the following information?
    1. Can you copy pate your installation details from MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details?
    2. What are the errors logged in the log file located at workspace dir > .metatdata > .log?
Can you switch to a new workspace and check if the issue persists?
