nat101MemberI tried getting the 383 upgrade, but I get the following: (Note that MyEclipse 383 has been added as a site.)

Thank you much.

Scott AndersonParticipantNat,
That’s peculiar. Can you walk through the update site instructions a step at a time as detailed in this thread and see if the results are better?

nat101MemberI did that again now, step by step. It’s the last step, that triggers that message.
>>On the final panel select Finish and then Install when you’re advised that the feature is not signed. <<
As soon as I hit ‘finish’, without delay, I get that popup.-nat

Scott AndersonParticipantI just updated another install I had and it worked perfectly. One thing I notice from your screenshot is that no location is shown under “Available Sites”. When I updated and selected the update site on that dialog, the location of my existing MyEclipse 3.8.2 installation was highlighted. I don’t know why this isn’t happening for you, but I’m not sure how you installed either. I think selecting the “New Site…” button and navigating to the location of your existing installation will resolve the issue.

nat101Member3.8.2 was installed from scratch with a bran-new 3.0.1 Eclipse install.
Please help me proceed. I have no idea as howto approach this.

Scott AndersonParticipantDid you try the workaround I suggested in my last post? What happened?

nat101MemberNew site? That what the original instructions called for.
Did you mean new LOCAL site? If so, where should I navigate to?December 22, 2004 at 2:19 pm #221751
nat101MemberDoes this installation history look normal?
Installation History The list below represents the history of your update activities from the product installation to date. Each operation carries a date it commenced, as well as activities performed. Operations are sorted by date in ascending order. 17:17:30 12/10/2004 Date / Time Target Action Status 17:22:26 12/10/2004 file:/e:/MyPrograms/java/ECLIPSE/301/MyEclipse382/ site-install success 17:22:26 12/10/2004 file:/E:/MyPrograms/java/MyEclipse382/eclipse/ site-install successNote. The dates are Euro style. Its the 10th month.

nat101MemberHere are a couple of screenshots of the Eclipse “product configuration” panel.
I sense something wrong but can’t put my finger on it.

Scott AndersonParticipantActually, all that looks normal. I’ve never seen this type of message dialog before. You can try a couple of things. First, you can download the archived version of the update site, unzip it locally, and try the same update off of it, or you can just install Eclipse 3.0.1 and ME 3.8.3 in another location, verify the install, and point to your existing workspace.

Riyad KallaMembernat,
Are you able to grab the manual update and install it, or even run the installer locally or are you trying to figure out what is going on with the autoupdate?December 22, 2004 at 3:12 pm #221759
nat101MemberOne minute.
1. What does ‘downloading an update site’ mean?
2. The procedure posted in http://www.myeclipseide.com/PNphpBB2+file-viewtopic-t-5107.html
is termed as manual or auto update.December 22, 2004 at 3:14 pm #221760
Riyad KallaMembernat,
If you go to our download section, the last download (after manual) is “archived update site” which is actually a valid Eclipse update site, that you can unzip locally and point your Eclipse updater to and have it update from. We did this for system admins and such.December 22, 2004 at 3:29 pm #221762
nat101MemberQuestion:
Do I choose (from the Eclipse Installer) “New Local Site” or “New Archived Site”?
Both are local.
