I’m seeing
Could not read metadata for ‘/home/mstacey/workspace/.metadata/.plugins/org.eclipse.core.resources/.root/.indexes/properties.index’.
/home/mstacey/workspace/.metadata/.plugins/org.eclipse.core.resources/.root/.indexes/properties.index (Too many open files)

I read the FAQ on the message, but why did this start today?

I am dead in the water until this is resolved….

Can you copy paste your installation details here? You can get them from MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details.
Have you tried the solution as pointed out in the FAQ?

As the first post says, I readt he FAQ workaround, but I didn’t want to up the open files limit until/unless I got an explanation on why this just started happening…

Go ahead and close this issue; I will wipe and reinstall.
