    Hi,

I’m looking for a way to get rid of Pulse Explorer. Sorry, I know this has been discussed, but I still can’t pull my things together. We are going through proxy and organisational policy does not allow downloads for developers.

Hence I’m looking to use standard Eclipse update mechanism where things can be downloaded to and installed from local network.

The MyEclipse Update Site seems the way to go – is it something that is likely to be continued or will MyEclipse eventually force all users to use Pulse?

    Regards

    Maciek

    Maciek,

If you do not wish to use pulse, do not perform update/ add plugins using MyEclipse Configuration Center or Pulse Explorer. You could use MyEclipse archived update site on top of Eclipse Classic. Please refer – https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/installation-install-myeclipse-using-archived-update-site/
Please ensure you setup your proxy here – windows > preferences > general > network connections. There are no plans to force all users to use pulse in future. Genuitec would continue support for MyEclipse update site and archived update site.
