I installed the all-in-one 8 M1 which automatically upgraded to M2. With 8 M1, I never saw the opening logo, even though it worked fine. I recently installed the final 8 and still don’t see the opening logo.

This is not a big deal, but it does give one a good feeling to be able to follow the progress of the load.

Is there I file I can download for the logo to pop up?

Splash screen is configured in config.ini file located at ~MyEclipse8 installation Dir > Configuration
Check for the value of “osgi.splashPath” in that file.
On Windows it is – osgi.splashPath=platform\:/base/plugins/com.genuitec.myeclipse.product8
