    Dear all,

I’m currently trying a migration from myEclipse 6.0.1 to myEclipse 7.5 but I get some problems that block me.
The problem occurs during the deployment of an EAR application. Now in version 7.5 I’m not able to redeploy an EAR module separatly anymore, the “redeploy” option appears disabled… I try to deploy/redeploy the application from the server module. I’m running the application on a weblogic 9.2SP3 server.

Thus, I’m able to build the EAR and deploy it on the server, the application works fine but if for example I change something in my EJB module then I’m not able to redeploy it separatly and then I’m forced to redeploy the entire EAR, which takes a long time.

    Thanks for your help.

    Kins57,
It is not allowed to redeploy individual modules. If the EAR is deployed in exploded mode, the changes are automatically redeployed. But to redeploy, you will have to redeploy the entire EAR module.

    Thanks for the answer shalini,

so if I understood it correctly, the redeployement of an EAR module (e.g an EJB module) is done automatically when the EAR is deployed in exploded mode. Then, if I perform a modification in an EJB, I don’t need to redeploy the EJB module separatly as I did it before in myEclipse 6.0.1, it is now done automatically in myEclipse 7.5. That why the option is disabled in the contextual menu.
It looks like time saving for me 🙂
Ok I will do some tests. Thanks again.

Ok I checked it seems to work fine. I did a modification in an EJB and the EJB was redeployed automatically. Great functionnality!

    Thanks again for the answer.
