Finaly, with the new Pulse update i can install the new Eclipse behind our firewall. Only Problem left: If i check for updates (and the updatecheck that runs automatic) ,
it takes very long time to finish (Installing an eclipse profile had same Problem)

After 20 minutes the checking is at 68%, can i see somewhere what eclipse/pulse is actualy doing?

You can click the icon on the button right hand corner where it shows 68 % to get the details. Do you see the icon?

I did that, and got the progess window, but it hadnt any details.
I just started myeclipse again, watching error log and progressview
just showing “Checking for updates…” and “Updating Pulse Runtime JREs”
“Updating Pulse Runtime JREs” is done after about 10 minutes,
After about 15 min i get the Dashboard with some stuff to update.
I choose 2 updates, Progressview telling me “performing updates-verifying updates” for about 10 mins then it sayiing applying Updates which is done after some minutes.

I was thinking that perhaps some of the Update Urls timeout or some Updates have Problems passing trough our virusscanner or firewall, but i didnt see anywhere what exactly it does while checking for updates.

After restart, it takes again its time with checking for updates and updating pulse Runtimes.
In the Error Log view i get right after start an “Error parsing metadata repository” ( Error at line 12, column 97: Illegal value for attribute “url” of element “repository”: null in org.eclipse.p2.core) and a

Unable to read repository at file:/C:/ZusatzSW/Genuitec/MyEclipse 7.0/configuration/org.eclipse.osgi/bundles/424/data/listener_1925729951/.

    dragii,

There is something going on with your network environment that is killing Pulse’s ability to talk to the udpate sites. What we need is a full communication log from you that will outline every step fo the communication through the firewall. The way to have MyEclipse generate that log is outlined here:
    https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/troubleshoot-myeclipse-is-having-network-connection-issues/

Could you do that for us and then PM me your communications.tar.gz file with a link back to this thread so I know why I’m getting the file? Thanks!
