Hi, I’ve a problem to read selected lines in some situations. For example it’s hard to read white text highlighted by very light grey when using Code Complete box or Open Type dialog.

Is there a way to change the color of the highlighted line?

For example Search result View or Project Explorer use darker color for highlighted line.

@shaolin, sorry you are seeing this issue. The selection color in your screenshot is not the intended. Could you give more details?

1. OS and Arch
2. Eclipse version
3. If you are on windows, are you using Windows Classic theme (System wide)?

2. Version: Oxygen Release (4.7.0)
Build id: 20170620-1800
clean install only with Darkest Dark plugin
3. I tried Windows 7 Aero, Windows 7 Basic, Windows Classic and High Contrast #1 themes. Only with High Contrast #1 theme I can see the difference and even I can change the background color for Selected Item in Window Color dialog and it works. But in other themes it still looks the same (except Windows Classic – it’s totally unreadable; BG and FG colors are the same) and changing the color of Selected Item doesn’t have any effect. In Wi Unfortunately the High Contrast theme is not usable for regular work.

Not sure if it’s a problem of my Window settings or Darkest Dark theme.

@shaolin, Thanks for the details! They are really helpful. This issue sounds like OS related, we have a similar issue in other dialogs with windows 7. We are currently investigating it.
