I tried to load RDT from the public site Eclipse 3.5, and it fails to install because of conflicting versions of jars.

I tried to load RDT from a couple of Pulse Catalog sites but they also failed with conflicting versions of jars.

I tried to load RDT from the zip file org.rubypeople.rdt-0.9.1.200711131528NGT.zip that I downloaded from sourceforge, and it installs, but throws an exception when I try to open a Ruby perspective.

I tried to get the Configuration Center to install it from site http://download.aptana.com/tools/studio/plugin/install/studio as described at http://aptana.com/downloads/start but that fails to find all the files on the server.

Do you have any further advice? Would you like me to be more specific about the errors I encountered with one or more of these attempts?

    Thanks!

    Larry,

Are you behind firewall / proxy? If yes, please set your proxy information here – Window > Preferences > General > Network Connections.
Also can you copy and paste your installation details here? Open MyEclipse IDE, from menu options click on MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details.

I added RadRails to MyEclipse 8.5 with the steps listed by youngApprentice.

    This is what I did.

    1. Click on Help > MyEclipse Configuration Center > Software tab. Click *add site*.
    2. This will open “Add Update Site” window. Enter name and add url “http://download.aptana.com/tools/radrails/plugin/install/radrails-bundle”. Click on [OK].
    3. This will list RadRails eclipse plugin under Personal Sites. Expand the plugin. Add Aptana RadRails to your profile.
    4. This will display 1 managed change under Pending Changes. Click on [Apply 1 change].
    5. Next accept license agreement and follow the wizard. In the end, please restart your IDE.

    Best.

As i am new to Ruby on Rails, the information shared in above post is very useful for me for getting information about ROR.
