Update to C12 fails

    Hi,
    Trying to update to C12, but I get the following exception

    An error occurred while collecting items to be installed
    — error: session context was:(profile=com.genuitec.delivery.package.profile.1750-Fta-6119, phase=com.genuitec.pulse.client.deliverypackage.runtime.p2.DeliveryCollect, operand=, action=).
    — error: Unable to read repository at http://downloads.genuitec.com/downloads/packs/myeclipse-13/v13.0.0.CI-010/updatesite/plugins/com.genuitec.eclipse.embedded.nodejs_0.10.26.win32-x86_64-me20141201-1428.jar.

    I have tried to update C11, still the same issue.

    Sorry that you are seeing this issue.

    Can you please give us some more information ?

    1.Which version of MyEclipse 2015 CI are you working with ? Please share the MyEclipse Installation Details from MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details.

    2. Are you behind a firewall or proxy ? If yes then please set the information here : Window > Preferences > General > Network Connections. Please make sure you have unfettered access to these sites : http://www.myeclipseide.com,www.genuitec.com,www.poweredbypulse.com

    3. Do you see any network issues at your end?

    4. Can you please start MyEclipse with -clean , switch to a new workspace and try to update to CI 12 again. If you are still seeing issues, please send us the .log file which is located at <workspace dir>/.metadata/.log to help us investigate further. Here is a FAQ on starting MyEclipse with -clean.

    5. Alternatively, you can install MyEclipse 2015 CI 12 using the offline/online installers available here.

    In addition to the points Swapna mentioned above:

    Are you able to download the following file in your browser without issue? This is the same file in your log, would help us determine whether the problem is with MyEclipse connectivity or system wide.

    http://downloads.genuitec.com/downloads/packs/myeclipse-13/v13.0.0.CI-010/updatesite/plugins/com.genuitec.eclipse.embedded.nodejs_0.10.26.win32-x86_64-me20141201-1428.jar.

    If there was a network connectivity issue, simply trying again could resolve it.

    Hi Guys,
    I do get the same issue. I have no proxy issue, in fact I do see its downloads 50 MB in the panel then it dies, getting following error.
    I tried multiple times getting the same error. I could download directly from web browser com.genuitec.eclipse.embedded.nodejs_0.10.26.win32-x86_64-me20141201-1428.jar. Please help me out.

    Raj,

    Sorry that you are seeing this issue.

    Can you please give us some more information?

    1. Are you updating to MyEclipse 2015 CI 15? Please share with us your current MyEclipse Version and Build Id from Help > About MyEclipse section and the version details you are trying to update to.

    2. Please restart the MyEclipse IDE, go to Help > Check for Updates and check if the issue persists with the update.If the issue persists, please send us the .log file located at /.metadata/.log for further investigation.

    3. Alternatively, you can also download the offline installer from here and upgrade through the installer: https://www.genuitec.com/products/myeclipse/download/

    Thanks it works now. Somehow it never worked before, earlier I tried multiple times.

    Raj,

    I’m glad it’s working now, but I do want to figure out what went wrong as well.
    1) The screenshot you pasted shows CI 13, not CI 15, was CI 13 your intended version?
    2) How exactly were you trying to update? Where you locking to a version or just checking for updates? Did you get an “update available” dialog and the failure was when trying apply this update?
    3) At what time did you experience the failure (rough time is fine, do mention your timezone)

    1. There was an update popup up comes from bottom left panel of eclipse, thats the update I tried earlier.

    2. After update I got CI 15 (I attached image is after update).

    3. This is the first time I tried Help->Check for updates and update from there (attached image)

    4. I was getting this problem for more than 2 months. Last time I got that problem
    Was October 5, 2015 at 8:30 am EST

    5. I don’t know what is lock, so I did not lock it.

    Guys,
    Again am getting below error while I go for Updates. Do I need to anything special to fix it?

    Can you please retry updating from Help > Check for Updates and check it if works?
    Alternatively, you can download the latest CI installer from here and update :
    https://www.genuitec.com/products/myeclipse/download/
