I downloaded the M2 “EnterpriseWorkbenchInstaller_4.0M2_E3.1.exe” and tried to start it. I see the InstallAnywhere starting up and after a second I get the Error Popup:

“Ausführbare Datei kann nicht gestartet werden. Could not load jvm.dll Installieren Sie die Java-VM erneut oder änder Sie die vom Programm verwendete Java-VM.”

Sorry for quoting the ‘germenglish’ but XP64 seems not to be fully localized yet.
    The java version installed is:
    C:\Documents and Settings\kkr>java -version
    java version “1.5.0_04”
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_04-b05)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 1.5.0_04-b05, mixed mode)

Eclipse 3.1 is freshly installed and running.

Strange ist this: Some weeks before I was able to install M2 for eclipse 3.0, it still is able to start without a problem.

    Any Idea what to do?

The issue is that the Install Anywhere installer is picking an incompatible VM to run with. There are workarounds specified here:

Or, you can download and use our manual installation zip file. Instructions are included in the zip itself and are available externally here:
