I tried installing the AWS Toolkit a couple of different ways (Catalog and via the site directly) and am always getting an error related to not being able to find certain dependent files. The below is the response I get back from MyEclipse taken from the log file.

I am running MyEclipse 2017 (buildid: 15.0.1.CI-010). I have attached my installation summary in case it helps. I tried googling around and checking the forums but have not been able to find anything out about this error/issue. I have also checked that there are no updates needed for MyEclipse.

Let me know if there is any additional information I can provide.

    David,

It looks like there may be some configuration complications caused by the installation of CodeMix into MyEclipse – thank you for providing the installation summary. We’re looking into right now and will hopefully have an update for you shortly.

    Apologies for the inconvenience caused.

    Dave,

We investigated further and it looks like a problem with the CodeMix patches plugin version in MyEclipse 2017. Apologies for the trouble.

The workaround which works for me is to repair the MyEclipse 2017 installation by rerunning the MyEclipse installer, then install AWS ToolKit plugin first followed by CodeMix. Please note that repairing the MyEclipse installation would remove any additional third party software/plugins that was installed on top of it. You should reinstall them again.

This problem is fixed in our latest MyEclipse 2018 release. If you want to give it a try, you can install MyEclipse 2018 to a different location alongside your existing MyEclipse 2017 installation and use your current license.

Hope this helps. Please let us know how you get on with it.
