Yes it happens even if I use a new workspace. I also tried removing the directories you suggested. This still did not solve the problem.

Ok so lets try it from a different angle. How do I delete DevStyle and the theme? I mean completely remove it from the machine? Remember I cant do this from inside the marketplace. So I need to know where the files reside so I can delete them.

You can just try removing the DevStyle plugins. Look in your PC for jars starting with com.genuitec.eclipse.theming.* and remove them. They are usually located in your Eclipse/plugins directory, or in your <home>/.p2/pool/plugins directory.

Removing them and then relaunching eclipse should just do the trick.

    Cheers!

That being said. It’s also possible that the issues you are observing are not related to DevStyle but to Eclipse itself. Maybe it’s the Eclipse Dark theme that is being applied and not DevStyle (Darkest Dark). Eclipse tries to use a Dark theme by default if your System’s theme is dark.
