ed. nov 9, zipped and attached the patched loadcdt.html file to bypass download restrictions of javascript files on some user’s systems.

Technical Note

This note begins to address a recent issue that occurs when starting a debugger for an Android app and the GapDebug UI stops loading the debugger with an error such as the following

Problem loading url:
http://chrome-devtools-frontend.appspot.com/serve_rev/xxxx/emulated_devices/emulated_devices_module.js
Status code: 0

I have a quick fix (patch) for the issue if you don’t mind hacking GapDebug. Simply replace the loadcdt.html file with the version found in the gapdebug_patch1.zip attached at the bottom of this note. Right-click the attachment and choose Save Link As to download the zip file.

On Windows you can find this file at
\AppData\Local\GapDebug\plugins\com.genuitec.powderhorn.deviceconnector_16.x.x.xxxxx\res\gap
debug\loadcdt.html

Additionally consider clearing the CDT cache as described here.

If you are not aware we announced that GapDebug is in maintenance mode with no dedicated team for the time being while we consider its future. Having said that I continue to impl small updates when time permits. I’ll coordinate building a new version of GapDebug with this fix asap and post an update here.

open /Applications/GapDebug/GapDebug.app/Contents/Profile/plugins/com.genuitec.powderhorn.deviceconnector_16.2.4.201607140810/res/gapdebug

and replace the loadcdt.html file.

Note: This folder name might be different depending on version I guess ? com.genuitec.powderhorn.deviceconnector_16.2.4.201607140810 In that case goto plugins folder and check for a folder with res/gapdbug.
